SUMMARY:Vigil for Missing\, Murdered\, and Exploited Indigenous People
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bonnyville Friendship Centre on October 6\, 2025\, at the C2 in Bonnyville for a powerful evening of remembrance\, education\, and healing. \nThis vigil honours Missing\, Murdered\, and Exploited Indigenous People (MMEIP) and provides a space for families\, survivors\, allies\, and community members to come together in solidarity. \n\n“This is a powerful community gathering to honour the lives lost — those who are murdered\, went missing\, and have been exploited\,” says Angie Pappion\, Mental Health Therapist with the Friendship Centre. “Healing happens when we stand together\, not apart.” \n\nThe evening will include: \n\n\nFree catered banquet (doors open at 5:30 p.m.\, meal served at 6:00 p.m.) \n\n\nVigil at 7:00 p.m. \n\n\nCultural performances and guest speakers \n\n\nPresentations from dignitaries including MLA Scott Cyr and MP Billy Morin\, Shadow Minister for Indigenous Affairs \n\n\nThis event is open to everyone — Indigenous and non-Indigenous — who wishes to stand together in support\, remembrance\, and change. \nAdmission is free\, but tickets are required to ensure adequate seating and meals.
